Darren Berg

Darren specializes in commercial/industrial property and liability losses with a focus on course of construction/builders risk claims and commercial liability. Darren also has an expertise in special investigation claims having spent 28 years as an Auxiliary police officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
After leaving the Winnipeg Police department in 1986, Darren returned to Vancouver to complete his degree. While attending SFU, Darren started his career in the insurance industry with Continental Insurance in 1988 and moved to Canadian Northern Shield Insurance in 1991, where he became the BC regional claims manager. Darren became an Independent Adjuster in 2009 with a large national firm where he managed the BC region and handled a wide variety of losses.
In 2014 he moved to another national firm where he became a Director with the Major and complex loss team overseeing training and development while also handling large losses. Darren has expertise managing a wide variety of large and complex losses, including construction, property, and liability.
