Case Study:

A tile coating specialist (insured) has been engaged to strip and recoat coping stones around a swimming pool. While the insured holds itself out as expert in selecting correct chemicals and methodology for each job, they use a chemical which, when interacting with water, forms toxic vapour that burns human lungs. The insured does not take steps to prevent draining into the pool. The chemical ‘eats’ the pool liner. What’s worse is that the homeowner's three young children end up hospitalised after swimming in the pool just a few hours later. The prognosis is that they will have respiratory health issues for life.
